1. What type of pets can I enrol?

Wood Green takes in and rehomes cats, dogs, small* and field** animals.  Please contact Wood Green beforehand if you would like to enrol a horse on Pet Promise.

2. How many pets can I enrol?

You can enrol as many pets as you wish and add any new pets later on.

3. Can you rehome my animals together?

If you let us know, we will do everything we can to ensure this happens. Rest assured we will always be acting in the best interests of your pet.

4. Do you assess new owners?

All new owners are interviewed and taken through a detailed matching process by our rehoming staff. Where we feel it will help both pet or new owner, we also carry out home visits and follow-up calls to ensure a successful match. New owners can also continue to speak to us for support and advice throughout the life of their rehomed pet.

5. Does it cost anything?

Pet Promise is offered completely free of charge – it’s part of our commitment to ensure that every animal has the care and home it deserves.

6. How can I be sure that Wood Green are the best people to look after my pet?

You are welcome to come and meet us and look around our Rehoming Centres, so you can see and hear for yourself just why we are one of the most respected animal charities in the UK today. Alternatively, you can call us on 0844 248 8181 and we’ll arrange for the most appropriate member of our team to call you back and discuss your pet’s requirements.

8. When I die – how will Wood Green be notified?

You should let your friends, family or neighbours know that you want Wood Green to take in your animals in the event of your death. We will provide you with a Pet Promise care card, collar tabs and stickers to help you do this. It is also a good reason to make your wishes known officially in your will.
