Dog Welfare
There is always lots to do on the dog section - walking, cleaning, feeding, grooming and playing with the dogs, or just spending time with them, giving them the interaction they are missing out on while they are not in a loving home.

Cat Welfare
We have a state of the art new cattery to house the cats waiting to be rehomed. Volunteers are needed to help clean, feed, groom and socialise the cats, and to help make their stay here as pleasant as possible.

Field Section
We have various different types of animals in the field section, such as horses, donkeys, sheep, goats and pigs. But there is always plenty to do, like feeding, grooming, mucking out, socialisation and exercising.

Small Animals Section
Our small animal section houses many different animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, birds and ferrets, the mix is constantly changing. Volunteers are needed to help feed, clean, socialise and exercise the animals.

Gift Shop
Our gift shop plays a key role in the charity, providing valuable income to support the work we do. Duties include arranging displays, assisting with deliveries, helping customers and many other duties.

Thrift Shop
Our thrift shops are run entirely by our dedicated team of volunteers. Types of work involved are sorting donated items, serving customers, organising the stock room, stacking shelves and window displays.

Restaurant / Kitchen
Our restaurant is used by staff and visitors to the shelter, and also hired out for functions, providing valuable income to the shelter. We need volunteers to help in our restaurant and kitchen with serving at the counter, serving at functions, clearing tables, washing up and other duties.

Surgery
Volunteers are needed in our veterinary surgery to help care for the animals that are under the care of the vet. This can include any kind of animal, and duties such as cleaning, feeding, grooming, washing instruments.

Site Services & Maintenance
At Wood Green Animal Shelters we like to keep the site looking neat, tidy and litter free at all times. This is a very important task as first impressions of Wood Green Animal Shelters will colour the way people perceive we look after our animals.

Drivers
Our fostering team have a need for volunteer drivers to help by picking up animals for fostering from the shelter or home, and transporting them to their foster home.

Visitors
We home our dogs to a variety of places all over East Anglia, East Midlands and London and we need Home Visitors to help with some that are long distance.
