Heydon Shelter
The Heydon shelter has been open since 1954 and is home to cats and a variety of small animals. The shelter takes in numerous stray and unwanted animals from the Hertfordshire area. The shelter is situated in a picturesque village in the Hertfordshire countryside and rehomes hundreds of animals each year and works extremely closely with the Godmanchester shelter in rehoming. The Heydon shelter also provides on site veterinary facilities for the animals that are brought in as either strays or looking for new homes. All of the animals that leave the shelter are microchipped and neutered. The Heydon shelter also hosts a number of events throughout the year including Animal Awareness Day and the Feline Fun Day. Both are great days out for the family and provide the shelter with valuable funds to continue its work. |
