SMALL ANIMALS
All three of the Wood Green Shelters take in and rehome small animals which range from rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters to the more unusual chinchillas and degus. There are a variety of reasons why small animals are brought in to Wood Green which include children losing interest, or owners developing an allergy to them. All of the small animals are checked over by the on site vets when they are brought in and all rabbits are vaccinated against Myxomatosis and x-rays of their teeth are taken to check for any existing problems. The male rabbits and guinea pigs are castrated unless they live with or are to be rehomed with other males. When given the all clear they go up for rehoming.
Click here for the Small Animal Homefinder Form When we receive a homefinder form we will register your details and keep them for two months, although we can not always guarantee an animal match. Once you have filled out your form hand it in to the Dog Reception at the Godmanchester Shelter when you visit or post it to us. |
