15 rabbits abandoned at Wood Green

Rabbits_winter_article_detail

Wood Green, The Animals Charity is currently caring for 15 rabbits left abandoned in a car park.

The rabbits were left in the Charity’s Godmanchester Centre car park in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It is believed they are a mum, dad and two litters between the ages of eight weeks and five months.

The rabbits have all been examined by a vet and are being cared for by the small animal team. They will be available for rehoming once they have been neutered and vaccinated.

rabbitHead of Small Animals, Marie Channer said: “This is a situation many pet owners are finding themselves in because their animals have not been neutered. There are numerous advantages to neutering your rabbit, the obvious being that it prevents unwanted pregnancy. We would like to urge everyone to get their small animals neutered.”

Wood Green currently has 33 rabbits looking for new homes and many more waiting to come into the centre.

If you would like further information and support about neutering your rabbit, please call 0844 248 8181.
