We're so excited at Wood Green!

After months of building works at Wood Green, our new state of the art veterinary surgery is open and we're very excited!
The £3.6 million refurbishment at our headquarters in Godmanchester now boasts two operating theatres, a preparation room and X-ray room, brand new clinical examination rooms and a public reception.
Take a look for yourselves...

The new facility also provides separate wards for different species of animals, meaning when they need medical attention, they won’t have to face the stress of coming into contact with other animals causing them undue stress.
This has been a landmark project for Wood Green; the biggest since our Godmanchester Centre opened in 1987 and one that we are very proud of.
The new facilities provide a clean, bright and spacious environment. Combined with the latest advances in technology, they enable us to meet our high standards, and will mean we can keep caring for hundreds of sick and injured animals every year.
The old surgery had barely been altered since it was built 25 years ago, which at the time was a very modern surgical department which worked brilliantly for the purpose and workload for which it was designed.
For many years the Charity has been struggling to cope with not only the increased workload, but also the higher standards of animal welfare that Wood Green has moved towards.
The refurbishment also includes new dog isolation kennels and a puppy block which are due for completion next month.
Wood Green receives no government or lottery funding and therefore we rely on the generosity of our supporters to help keep our doors open to the thousands of animals needing our help.
