Ted came to the Shelter due to his owner's ill-health. Ted has a condition called Spondylitis which affects the movement in his back legs. However, Ted has been on foster with a member of staff and she reports that he climbs stairs, jumps on the sofa to sit next to you, with no problem whatsoever. He is affectionate and enjoys being stroked and is a real joy to have around. Ted has always been an only cat and he does not like other cats, so for this reason we would need him to go to a quiet household as the only pet as he is stressed by other animals.

Bluebell (23913)

Bluebell is currently being treated for a skin condition which is responding quite well to treatment. She is a very sweet-natured cat who enjoys a cuddle and also enjoys walking on a harness with staff at the shelter. She would need to be the only pet in the home as she can be grumpy with other cats.

Milo came into the Shelter as a stray so not very much is known about his history. He is an affectionate cat who needs to be homed as the only cat as he is FIV, however, he could be rehomed with another cat that has the virus. Milo would need a cat proof garden or access to the outdoors via a run.

Flossy and Floosie are sisters who came to the shelter through no fault of their own and would love to find a new home together. They are both very affectionate and love being fussed, groomed and picked up. Flossy and Floosie spend most of their time indoors but do enjoy having a wander outside for a couple of hours. This pair of lovely ladies came to the Shelter as their owner was too ill to care for them. Hannah is a very friendly, chatty cat who loves lots of attention. She was involved in a road traffic accident when she was younger which has resulted in the loss of her tail.

Pudding is quite wary of new situations but enjoys a fuss from people she knows. They both love to go outside (weather permitting) and enjoy sunbathing. They are looking for a quiet home where they are the only pets.

Max is a very affectionate boy looking for a very special home. As he is FIV+, he would need a home with either a cat proof garden or access to the outside via a run. He would be happy to live with dogs and children. Max is very playful and loves to chase string toys, he also enjoys a fuss and his favourite thing is to roll over and have his tummy rubbed.

Don came to Wood Green after being a long-term stray. Because he was having to look after himself for a long time he is a bit wary around people. However, once he gets to know you he does love to have a fuss and a groom. Don tends to spend most of his time in the outside run of his unit and so constantly gets overlooked.

Location:  Godmanchester Shelter

Ron and Mandy are mother and son. They have found being at the Shelter quite a frightening experience and have become very shy and tend to hide away, which has resulted in them being passed by. We don’t have a great deal of information about their background but we do know in the previous home they were affectionate cats and like to sit on your lap and have a fuss. They enjoy spending time outside so would benefit from a cat flap so they could come and go as they wish.  They have lived with cats before and would probably be ok to have feline companions in a new home. They haven’t lived with a dog previously, but could possibly live with a calm cat-friendly dog. These cats are desperate to find their forever home and have a chance to show someone how loving and rewarding they can be.

Snowy is an affectionate, loving cat who is very playful for her age! She is very wary of hands since she was pulled around quite a lot in her previous home by the children. But if she is allowed to approach you, she is fine. Snowy is on a special skin diet as she occasionally develops sore patches and will need to remain on this diet in her new home. Snowy needs a home as the only pet.

Maxi’s owners were moving abroad and couldn’t take her with them. She is a friendly girl who enjoys having a fuss and a cuddle (but is not so keen on having her tummy stroked!) She is a little bit on the cuddly side at the moment, so is having her diet monitered to help her lose some weight. Maxi has lived with children before and was fine with them as long as she was not pulled around. She is not keen on other animals though so would be best as the only pet in the home.

Millie came into the Shelter as she did not settle into her new home. She would be best homed as the only pet in the household. Millie enjoys a fuss and doesn't mind being groomed (when in the mood). Millie enjoys company but is not your average lap cat and enjoys having some time to herself to relax in the garden.
